FACT CHECK: Romualdez did not apologize to Duterte family
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

FALSE. Martin Romualdez issued a public apology to the Duterte family and promised to “reveal everything he knows.”

FACT. Martin Romualdez has denied making this statement and called the circulating quote card “fake news.” There is no official record or verified source confirming such an apology.

A viral social media post shares a fabricated quote card claiming that Romualdez is asking forgiveness and preparing to expose alleged wrongdoing, presenting it as a real statement despite lacking any credible source.

The content uses emotional language and a “breaking news” format to appear legitimate. However, the quote is entirely unverified and falsely attributed, misleading viewers into believing it is an official statement.

Amid corruption allegations, Martin Romualdez has maintained a defiant stance, explicitly denying the apology and warning the public against misinformation.

He did not express remorse or support for the Duterte family, contradicting the claims in the viral post.
