Dagdag-sahod sa mga kasambahay, aprubado na sa Metro Manila

May paparating na wage hike para sa mga kasambahay sa Metro Manila matapos aprubahan ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board–NCR ang bagong wage order na magtataas sa monthly minimum wage ng mga domestic worker sa rehiyon.

Sa ilalim ng Wage Order No. NCR-DW-06, itataas ang minimum na sahod ng mga kasambahay mula P7,000 tungo sa P7,800 kada buwan, o katumbas ng P800 na dagdag-sahod na magiging ganap sa Pebrero 7, 2026.

Sinabi ng board na nilalayon nitong magbigay ng karagdagang kita sa mga kasambahay sa gitna ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin at mataas na cost of living sa National Capital Region. 

Kabilang sa mga benepisyaryo ng wage increase ang mga kasambahay na nagtatrabaho bilang househelper, yaya, kusinero, hardinero, at iba pang katulad na gawain sa loob ng isang household.

Bago aprubahan ang wage order, nagsagawa ang board ng masusing pagrepaso sa kasalukuyang antas ng sahod ng mga kasambahay. 

Ayon sa National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), isinasaalang-alang sa pagsusuri ang umiiral na economic at social conditions sa rehiyon, kabilang ang inflation rate, gastusin ng mga pamilya, at kalagayan ng household employment.

Kasama rin sa proseso ang mga public hearing at konsultasyon na dinaluhan ng mga kinatawan mula sa sektor ng paggawa, mga employer, at pamahalaan kung saan tinalakay ang pangangailangan ng mga domestic worker at kanilang pamilya.

“After a thorough review and evaluation of the results of the public hearing, existing socio-economic conditions in the region, the needs of the domestic workers and their families, as well as the employers’ capacity to pay, the Board deemed it necessary to increase the prevailing minimum wage rates for domestic workers,” ayon sa pahayag ng NWPC.

Pinaalalahanan naman ang mga employer na sumunod sa bagong wage rate sa oras na maging epektibo ito. Ang hindi pagsunod sa itinakdang minimum wage ay maaaring magresulta sa mga kaukulang parusa alinsunod sa umiiral na mga batas sa paggawa.
