FACT CHECK: No evidence Bong Revilla accused VP Sara Duterte of corruption
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

FALSE. A YouTube video claims that former Senator Bong Revilla directly accused Vice President Sara Duterte of being the mastermind behind corruption in government flood control projects.

FACT. There is no evidence that Revilla ever made such a statement.

The claim circulated through YouTube posts, such as those from PH SHOWBIZ UPDATE, which used thumbnails featuring Revilla and Duterte and misleading titles implying her involvement. The videos included narration making the allegation, but it was not based on any actual statement by Revilla.

Legally, Revilla surrendered to authorities in January 2026 following an arrest warrant related to a ghost flood control project in Bulacan. In his official statements, he only addressed his own case, emphasizing due process and asserting his innocence.

Official investigations into flood control corruption have involved several lawmakers, public works officials, and contractors, including Paolo Duterte. VP Sara Duterte has not been formally implicated in any report, charge, or official investigation.
