FALSE. A Facebook post by PH Daily Inquiry falsely attributes a statement to media personality and host Bianca Gonzalez Intal claiming, “Nagkanda-letche-letche tayo simula nung maupo yung mga Duterte na yan!” The fabricated post also alleges that Gonzalez called for people to be jailed and described them as “salot.”
FACT. Gonzalez debunked the viral graphic in a Facebook statement posted on August 21, 2026, saying, “FAKE NEWS ITO. I NEVER posted or said this.”
She also shared a screenshot of her original post and urged users to report the fabricated graphic as misinformation.
In her original post, dated August 17, 2026, Gonzalez discussed the need for long-term solutions to the country’s problems. She wrote that “band-aid, short-term, temporary fixes” were not enough and said Filipinos deserve “effective long-term solutions,” citing flood control, mass public transport, and good governance.
The viral graphic, however, attributes a different and more inflammatory statement to Gonzalez, including the claim that the country’s situation worsened after the Dutertes came to power and a call to jail people she allegedly described as “salot.”
These statements do not appear in Gonzalez’s original post. The viral graphic instead presents the fabricated remarks alongside her name and photograph, making it appear as though she made the statements herself.
In her August 21 clarification, Gonzalez also wrote, “Huwag kayong mag-imbento ng quote para lang sa likes at comments.” She added that everyone wants a better future for the Philippines and that “fake news” is not the way to achieve it.
As of writing, the viral post had gathered around 64,300 reactions, 19,700 comments, and 1,100 shares, with many of the comments attacking Gonzalez over the statements falsely attributed to her.
There is no evidence that Gonzalez made the statements attributed to her in the viral graphic. Her own clarification and the original August 17 post show that the viral quote was fabricated and does not reflect what she actually posted.
