FALSE. A Facebook post claims that people with a National ID can receive ₱20,000 by filling out an online form linked to “Malasakit News.”
FACT. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has warned that such online forms, cash aid offers, and third-party registration links are unauthorized and are often used for phishing.
The PSA has issued multiple advisories clarifying that it does not provide ayuda or cash assistance to National ID holders. It also stressed that National ID processing cannot be facilitated online in exchange for a fee or by filling out unofficial forms.
Scammers commonly use fake links, forms, and misleading posts posing as legitimate agencies to collect personal data, including National ID information. The PSA warns that clicking these links or submitting personal details can compromise privacy and security.
Only the official PhilSys website (philsys.gov.ph) and verified government channels provide legitimate information on National ID registration and services.
The PSA emphasizes that National ID issuance and updates require in-person visits to registration centers, and private groups offering online forms are not affiliated with the government.
